So I'm in my senior year, and I have a problem with my AP Chemistry. I only took the class because I self-studied AP Biology my sophomore year, and took AP Physics B my junior year, and heck I'm applying to MIT so not having a science class would look bad. My ap chem class is terrible, in that my teacher is incompetent, and the work she gives is redundant. I feel as if I am getting NOTHING out of this class. It's not that I don't understand the material, it's just the class is a huge waste of time. I could be spending that time self-studying AP Physics C (which I plan to take in May).

So my question is, should I just drop ap chem? Also, if I did, how do i convey to MIT that i'm not just slacking off in science because I am self-studying AP Physics C?

Thank you so much!
