Senior Year GPA

I have a quick question regarding your GPA

Is your overall GPA the GPA by the end of junior year?

Or...

Does your semester grade GPA's for senior year get averaged in with the rest of your GPA?

thanks a bunch

Generally for purposes of the application the end of your Junior year is what goes in for your overall GPA. If you apply before the end of the mid term of your senior year only your marks through Junior year will be listed and colleges will compute based on those.

However if you apply or your transcript goes in after the end of the first semester any senior half year courses that you have completed will be listed.

Remember college's can and do ask for Senior marks so good advise is not to slack off.

So does that mean if i were to apply early decision/action then the GPA the college would see is up to junior year??

And if i apply regular, then the GPA the college would see is the up to junior year + senior year semester averaged in?

Yup...that's what it means. Your first semester senior year grades are still important.
