senior year grades

lol sax, my high school actually isn't that bad... just that I chose easy classes this year :P (only 1 AP)

"=p Well right now I've got one B, and that's ****ing me off...I guess I'm just one of those high-strung people."

WOW

DIE

its not 2 Cs

its 3 your entire senior year.

people get different admissions contracts, btw.

there's a general one and a more specific one. don't believe me>?

call them and ask.

hah i'd actually venture to say that you get B's when you slack, and C's when you completely blow off assignments. Come on kids, you got into UCLA- the least you could do is get a 3.0

"people get different admissions contracts, btw.

there's a general one and a more specific one. don't believe me>?

call them and ask."

Whoa, that's news to me.

I was being sarcastic there...

"hah i'd actually venture to say that you get B's when you slack, and C's when you completely blow off assignments. Come on kids, you got into UCLA- the least you could do is get a 3.0"

ummmm. some of us have to balance a large load of E/Cs along with academics (and for me, IB on top of everything else) and it's extremely difficult. so please don't talk. ^^

I have an incredibly difficult senior courseload that I regret everyday. :(

Don't get me wrong, i wasn't aiming to offend. I know how hard classes can seem (even if you're an IB diploma candidate, which I am as well Dawdger). I just don't see how second semester sr. year is ACtually harder than the rest of hs. for me, its easier than frosh year. Those of us going to UCLA got admitted with excellent grades... and I assume an overall 3.0 uw gpa in highschool wouldn't be considered excellent by any stretch of the imagination (- especially when the minimum UC eligibility in the statewide context requirement is a 2.8 gpa) SO, how hard could it be? But again, this is just my opinion.

Five glorious AP classes. Egad.

wow why are you guys so crazy... you know, half of your AP's won't get you exempted from any classes at UCLA. except for calc BC and AP lit. you'll only get units for the others.

Is AP Literature used only for placement? And the same applies for calculus right? It's useless if I pass my AB exam? (Btw I took precalc at the JC and hopefully it'll transfer - if so, I don't need to worry about my AB exam?)

"people get different admissions contracts, btw."

So if your admission contract does not mention anythinga bout a specific amount of C's does that mean they don't care as long as you come out with an even 3.0 average?

Passing the AP lit exam with a 3 is pointless considering the limit is 8 units and I already passed the AP lang exam. =/

passing calc AB gets you out of one quarter of math (4units), BC the second quarter(another 4 units). and yea, passing the AP lit is pointless if you already passed AP lang. too bad my school doesnt offer AP lang... hopefully I pass this thursday... haha.

Good luck with that. I hope I pass BC this Wednesday. =)

flopsy: "I was being sarcastic there..."

;) fine then.

im going to get 3 C's in my entire senior year...but i'm not going to report it because of this reason:

nowhere on my admission contract does it say how many C's i can get, it just says NO D's and a 3.0....im gonna get a 3.0, so i'm not going to report it right now. the only place where it says "3 C's or more" is on the provisional problem form.

As long as i have a 3.0, im confident everything will be fine....anyone have any ideas?

i'm in the same situation

it actually doesnt say a 3.0

it says an unweighted B average.

whether or not that's a 3.0 or a 3.2 is very unclear.
