Senior year grades?

I just set up my BU web account, and it says I’m missing my senior grades under Application Status. Do they want me to immediately send the current state of my grades, or do they just want the midyear grade report when it’s released? I applied ED, so my midyear grades would be officially published after I’d receive my admission decision.

I have the exact same question.
On the applicant link it says “Our records currently indicate that we have not received your senior grades. Please ask your high school to forward the grades to us a soon as they become available.”

I’m assuming that means they just want your midyear report once first semester grades have been released, regardless of whether that happens before or after the decision date.

So I guess that means the “senior grades” section will just stay posted under your application status until a decision has been made.

I’m not sure if this is the same thing you have, but this is what mine says:

“Our records currently indicate that the following credentials are still required to complete your application for admission:
Senior Grades
Please send all the required credentials to our office as soon as possible.”

I feel like this implies that my application is void without it. I’m not sure how this would make sense with ED, so I got a little confused. Hopefully it just means I should submit them when they’re available!

the best way to know is to simply call them. the answer will come from a primary source so you know it wont be wrong as opposed to speculation here on the forum

JordanSails, I just found this on Facebook and thought it might be helpful if you haven’t called BU yet.

[Hi BU, If I have… | Facebook](Redirecting...)

“The senior grades reminder on the BU applicant link is an automated reminder on all applicants’ accounts to send first semester grades when they become available. These grades are usually not available until January, so as an Early Decision applicant, you can disregard this particular notice.”

This was so helpful! Thanks so much!

I had the same problem (i applied ED too) I called BU and they told me to send my quarter grades, it doesn’t hold up your application but they like to have them on file when you receive the first quarter grades.
just out of curiosity if you dont mind sharing your stats? i’m super nervous about getting in! and i like to hear about other people who applied to see where i stand. thanks (:

good essays and (hopefully!) good recommendations

did any ED applicants notice a change in their applicant link around Thanksgiving? Once the financial aid info was posted, my application status changed to “complete” and no longer asks for my senior grades.

good luck to everyone applying  december 15th definitely can’t come soon enough!

woops! forgot to include that I applied ED to SAR

good luck (:
yeah i noticed that too, at first when i saw it i was like is my decision up! and i got so nervous haha but nope. yeah the senior grades BU said won’t hold up your application or anything its just “something they like to have on file”

oh okay! i’m doing ED to CAS

Applying ED to COM, suuuuper nervous but in the best way possible! The only thing making me more nervous is the fact that some peoples’ statuses are changing to “review of your application for admission is complete” while mine remains at “your application for admission is complete.” I suppose they really just haven’t gotten down to mine yet? Also, people are finding out that BU requested first quarter grades from their schools, and to my knowledge (though I haven’t inquired about this) they haven’t asked for mine. So anxious.

Senior Grades don’t have to be in until the end of the year
