Senior year high school schedule

So I’m currently in my junior year of high school and my core classes since freshman year has been consistent of AP social studies courses (such as AP world history, AP human geography, and now AP United States history), honors Math ( geometry, algebra II, Trigonometry, And Mathematical analysis), honors science (biology, chemistry, and marine biology),and honors and AP English (English I and II, And AP language And composition). Next year I’m planning to continue my Highschool carrer by taking AP Literature, AP American governments Ansbach politics/AP Macro Economics, zoology honors, and statistics honors. Along with the AP corded I have already mentioned I have taken AP studio art and an planning to take a second year, and I have also been in an AP program called “AP Capstone” which consist of two years of two AP corses(AP Seminar AND AP Research). Now I have passed all of my AP courses with scores ranging from 3 to 4, and due to the AP research class I might have my research officially published. I will soon end junior yearbook with roughly a 4.7 unweighted Gpa and a 5.0 weighted Gpa, I am also aiming for a 1450+ on the SAT. I was just wondering with this type of academic history, is there a decent possibility of me getting into a school like NYU or an Ivy League like Columbia? I also would like to major in either political science or philosophy and I was wondering off there’s an issue since I haven’t really taken any AP math or science courses? Ive also done a decent amount of community service (over 300 hours) and I’m planning on establishing two new clubs (philosophy club and some sort or political club) at my school beginning of senior along helping with local centers like homeless shelters, senior homes, etc. I’m sorry for My long winded story but I’m sort of in a panic for preparing for college applications!

I’m going to say that you do have a decent chance to get into NYU but almost no chance of being accepted into an Ivy. AP Capstone is seen as a perk because of its relative rarity in high schools and its basis in research, but it won’t put you over the top. You seem to not be as into math and science, and not taking the most rigorous course schedule possible (that is, math and science APs) hurts when applying to selective colleges, especially Ivies. Although NYU is certainly no given, you have a shot.

Of course, this is not all of the college app process; I need some ECs and demographics (race, hooks, gender, state, etc) to make a truly accurate prediction. Good luck!
