<p>At my D's HS they require teacher recommendation for AP classes. Her math teacher initially recommended her for AP stats but then felt Honors Calc was a better choice. She was recommended for AP English - but didn't want to take that. So our choice is push for her to get APStats or encourage her to take AP English? She is undecided for her major - but leaning towards biology or psychology. Thanks for your input.</p>
<p>how selective a college? what are her other courses? Is she looking to get that "most rigorous" curriculum box checked? -- if yes, then AP English is considered a more rigorous class than AP Stats.</p>
<p>At the colleges she's considering, how do AP English and AP Stats stack up against each other? Which would get her the most college credit for her predicted score? Some colleges don't give credit for one or both of those tests at all.</p>
