Senior year schedule help

hey so I’m going to be choosing classes for my senior year soon & I’m having trouble deciding what to take for my last two classes.

I’m currently taking:
AP Physics C
AP Calc AB
AP English Lang
APUSH
spanish 3
AP comp sci
Last semester I got all A’s and a B in calc just as a reference for what I can Handle aha.

So for senior year the classes I forsure want to take are:
AP Psychology
AP Stats
AP English Lit
AP Gov/ AP Econ

I have two spots left and these are the options I was considering:

AP Chemistry & a free period (or TA)
Prep chemistry and SPANISH 4
Prep chemistry & AP Spanish Lang
AP Chemistry & Spanish 4

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I would choose whatever option you like best from chem and spanish combination. However, depending on what you want to do in college, taking prep chem + Ap spanish might be the best since you already might have your science gen ed covered because of physics, and AP spanish might be able to cover your language requirement in college, so you won’t have to take any of them in college.

I don’t normally like to start new questions on someones thread but you’re the first person i have seen who has taken AP physics C with Calc AB. Is it manageable? Im currently in Honors Physics and Honors Precalc and next year I plan on taking AP physics C with Calc AB. How hard has it been since physics C is calc based? Anything will help. Thanks!

I would take AP chem and a free period. You can usually get out of your college foreign language requirement with SAT II’s so AP foreign languages aren’t really that useful if you can score high on that.

Also many colleges take your foreign language grades with a grain of salt. I honestly don’t even think Harvard would care if you didn’t take Spanish 4 your senior year. A free period where you could do homework/study and increase your other grades would be way more helpful.

@guineagirl96‌ & @paranoidandroid6‌ thanks for your suggestions. Have either of you taken AP Chemistry? In order to take the class I would have to take a chemistry course over the summer and I was wondering if that would be sufficient to do well in the class.

@ud0212‌
I had no previous experience with physics and I find it pretty easy so with your physics experience you would probably have an advantage. In my physics class we usually learn some calculus topics before we learn them in calculus so it actually helps with calculus.

@camilouisee thanks for the help

Depends on your intended major, will you need chemistry?

@Te4mVygrin‌ I want to major in biology, so yes chemistry will be needed

It will provide you sufficient background. Whether you do well in AP Chem is subject to a great deal of unknowns.
