Senior Year Schedule

Hi,

I will be heading into grade 12 next year and can’t decide on what courses to take. I want to go into pharmacy.

So far, this is what I have signed up for (excluding gym class):

-AP Biology
-Calculus AB
-Grade 11 Physics
-Grade 12 Physics
-Intro to Calculus Honours
-Grade 12 English
(I have taken both grade 11 and 12 chemistry already as well as grade 12 pre-calculus)

By the way, our school year is divided up into 2 semesters and you can take up to 5 courses each semester.

Do you think my schedule is a bit too light? Are my courses okay? Should I take both Intro to Calculus and Calculus AB or should I just do AB? They will both be in the same semester and that can be a lot of math (although I do love math). I am deliberating taking either Psychology or Economics. Which one should I do? Also, what other types of courses would be beneficial for me?

Thanks! All advice is very much appreciated!

Ok well if you love math more power to to you for taking the intro class and the AP. Personally I would take them both because it seems that the intro class curriculums is already in the AP so I wouldn’t have done that. Between Psychology or economics Honestly it depends on you what you’ll like and what you would benefit from on your journey to becoming a pharmacist. I’m going to take both Ap Psychology and Ap Microeconomics next year. I think a nice course to think about taking would be AP Chemistry unless you haven’t already taken it.

Confused how you can take two calc classes at once. It seems like the intro calc is calc for non-AP caliber students. I would take that out and replace it with something like Econ (which has some math which you like). Also what’s the difference between Grade 11 and Grade 12 physics? I would consider replacing one of them with something like Psych to add variety.
