this year (junior year)- i am in AP physics, honors english, honors pre cal, honors history, honors computer science A
next year I am definitely taking AP literature, AP US History, and AP calc, and honors Spanish. I definitely want to take honors computer science B as well because I am very interested in computer science. The class I am in this year has only gone over the basics and we haven’t done any advanced coding. My dilemma is that I was originally going to take AP chem and then apply for computer science as a seventh course. If I apply for it as a seventh course, it is not guaranteed that I will get to take it due to scheduling conflicts. I like chemistry but am way more interested in computer science. Should I just take honors computer science as my science class and not take AP chemistry?
If I take chem and comp sci then my scheduling is going to be overloaded and I will most likely have many conflicts in my schedule. I got a 4.0 UW soph year and am shooting for the same this year, so I want to get really good grades senior year as well. But I know that comp sci isn’t really on the same level as chemistry, and I don’t want this to hurt me when I’m applying for colleges, because I am hoping to get a large scholarship.
Any advice is appreciated!
