Thank you so much for all of your help!!

Did I post this in the wrong thread?
I am feeling like it kinda belongs here because I want to know what to do next year and what I have previously done to see my chances of getting into JHU!

John Hopkins is a very competitive school so I personally believe you should throw in a few more APs in there to make up for the extracurriculars, if your school offers that is. Don’t necessarily over exert yourself but challenge yourself, AP workload really isn’t as bad as it sounds.

Thank you. What is a good amount for senior year considering that I havent taken any previously?

For sure, but are 2 APs all that you can take? Most students at my school take about 3 on average and I’m personally taking 6. That’s not to pressure you! It’s all relative, I go to a competitive school so I have to take on more work. What are the other students in your grade taking? I highly suggest finding that out because you have to stand out from your own peers, so make sure you’re not behind them.

That is the problem. Many of my peers ( the really smart kids) were in AP since 9th grade and take 5-6 classes annually. I could also take AP Enviornmental Science. Also I could take AP Econ.

I am also really willing to do alot of extracirculars next year!

You should take AP Biology if it’s offered, especially since that’s what you’re going for in life! If you can’t then yea, APES. AP Econ doesn’t seem to be down your lane but it would make you a slightly stronger candidate, consider taking it if you don’t hate math.

It is offered.

Thanks!

I still don’t know if I will be able to get into JHU even with all the AP’s

Why College Algebra? It’s as the same as Algebra 2 + Trigonometry.
You may want to take Statistics or AP Statistics or AP Calc AB.

You have to take it before Calc and I didnt double up on math my junior year.

Hey any respondes are greatly appreciated
