Senior year schedule

If I want to go into English/creative writing, should my schedule be:

Honors Calc BC
Honors Stats
Honors Brit Lit
Honors gov Econ
Honors Spanish 4
PE (have to do this one lol; I might take sports to get out of it)

Or should I switch honors stats to creative writing (no honors credit)?

My only concern is that my GPA will be about .2 lower without the honors stats class

Bump

Colleges look at course rigor separately from unweighted GPA.
Switch stats for creative writing considering your major interests.
Any chance at taking AP lit?

@MYOS1634 my school doesn’t offer APs. I took APES and Lang this year and got 4s. I might take the AP lit test, but it may not be worth the cost.

Did you self study?

i would switch to creative writing!

@MYOS1634 yes (honestly I didn’t really study much at all; I never took any practice tests or anything).

You’ll have to make sure you’re guidance counselor indicates in his/her report that your school offers no AP classes (but that students in honors classes are encouraged to take the AP test if they feel like it. <- if that applies)
Creative writing > stats for future English major.
No other classes (5 classes + pe?)

@MYOS1634 I will have 6 classes senior year… Is that unusual? I know the PE thing is weird so I’m going to try to either get outside credit or do afterschool sports instead. That way, I’ll be able to keep stats while also being able to do creative writing.

It really depends on the school. It’s very common to see six 'academic’classes (pe would be on top if required.)
