Senior Year Scheduling Advice

I am taking quite a few AP Classes & Dual Credits next year. I was wondering if anyone would give me the following advice on the following classes:

1.) Should I also take AP Statistics if I’m taking AP Calculus? How hard is AP Stats generally?

2.) AP Bio vs. DE Bio. My school does not offer it, so either way I will have to pay. I heard AP Bio can be hard. I will be taking Physics, however life sciences are my passion and I really want to take either AP Bio or DE Bio. I was also going to take 2 medical introductory classes from my local CC.

3.) I have taken 3 years of Spanish, however to take AP Spanish online I have to test out. I’m hoping that I do. They require 4 years of it and my school only goes up to 3. Would taking DE Spanish I and II (beginning/intermediate - 8 credits) , be a good option?

Please give me advice!

  1. It’s not mandatory. It’s an interesting class and certainly has a lot of applications to the real world. If your question is “Is AP Statistics doable with AP Calculus?” the answer is yes. The workload is not too heavy, but that may vary depending on the teacher.

  2. AP follows a standardized curriculum which is familiar to all colleges. Your colleges may not be familiar with your CC. For that reason, I’d choose AP.

  3. See 2). In addition, DE Spanish I & II will likely only duplicate what you have already learned and include no new material.

@skieurope it is hard for anyone at my school to take APs that we don’t offer. You end up having to pay way more than a CC class. That’s my only issue with it.
