Senior Year Struggling

Hey there. I'm currently a high school senior getting prepared for college. I've gone to countless college tours and information sessions, and each one I went to stressed how important the beginning of senior year was when it came to getting into a college. To say the least, let's just say I caught a little bit of "Senioritus" as soon as Senior year started. My grades prior to senior year from freshman-junior year were mostly A-B's and a cumulative GPA of 3.64 combined for all 3 years. This year, I'm struggling in my honors organic chemistry class (got a C+ for the trimester), and my calculus class (barely holding a C). My GPA looks like it's barely going to be 3.25 or higher even if I have strong grades in all my other classes. To top it off, my ACTs and SATs were below my standards.

Overall, I'm very nervous about getting into a college. The one plus to my issue is I plan on majoring in the music field, so a large amount of my acceptance will rely on my audition. This sort of eases my worries a bit, but I still have to go through the audition process. Basically I'm looking for your opinions. Do these 2 poor grades this year really put a large hole in my chances of getting into a college or not? It's basically only those 2 classes. I seem to be holding B+'s and A's in my language classes, music theory class, theology class (I go to a private school), etc. All help is appreciated.

Bump it up.

It really depends on the college.

If you plan to study music at a conservatory, your other grades don’t matter TOO much (or so we’ve been told my conservatories my S is applying to). If it’s a music major in a LAC or U, and you need admission to the regular school first, then it can matter.
