Senior Year

Couple of questions concerning senior year and other things (these are really important for me to know) :

Senior year EC's - I have never been President of ANYTHING and just started joining clubs this year. (Junior year) Next year when all the senior presidents are gone, I have a very strong chance (almost definite) at becoming president / vice president of all 3 of these clubs. Will colleges consider these leadership positions even though I piled them all into the last year?

Does senior GPA (first semester or so) get included with the rest of the cumulative GPA?

Talent - I don't like to brag, but I'll be as straight to the point as possible : I'm really good at the violin. I've been playing for around 8 years and am a part of numerous regional and community orchestras. The problem is, I don't have a single award or recognition for my achievement. How would colleges react to this?

C+ - ...How does a C+ look in Spanish for a final grade in sophomore year? Will it kill me?

Final question: GPA: I've seen a million different ways of calculating GPA. Some do it by anything from 90-100 is 4.0, 80-89 is 3.0 etc. Others I see 97-100 is 4.0, and 93-96 = 3.85 (or something)... What is the standard and most accepted way of calculating GPA?

depends on your school, and colleges take it into consideration.

What colleges are you thinking about? The answers to your questions vary from college to college.

well im a junior. and same problem with me.

p.s. i have no spanish though and i have been playing piano for 10 years(but no awards or medals. i dont play professional)

When I calculate GPA I do it by using

4.0=93-105 (In my district the highest possible grade is 103-Honors and 105-AP)
3.0=85-92
2.0=75-84
1.0=70-74
0.0=0-69

So if one semester I have grades of say: 99, 90, 103, 105, 100, 93 I would average (4.0+3.0+4.0+4.0+4.0+4.0)/6 = 3.83 GPA
