Seniors Living Off Campus- Parking?

I know we have some seniors/recent graduates lurking around, so I have a quick question about parking/off campus stuff.

Who gets to park on the side of the road on Swift avenue? You don't need a permit or anything do you? Or is it just some kind of unspoken rule?

Also, I know there's West Village, Erwin, and Station Nine near East in terms of apartments but any other complexes? Rental companies where I could look at houses?

Thanks!

I'm actually not sure who gets to park on Swift -- I'm thinking grad students park there, but who knows.

Further down on Ninth St (closer to Magnolia Cafe) there's Ninth Street Commons. There's also apartments on Buchanan St aaand on Monmouth St that are super close to East (as in, probably closer to the bus stop than some freshman dorms). I don't know how to go about leasing those or who to contact, but I can certainly ask friends who are living there and do live in houses immediately off East. I personally live in Erwin and am absolutely in love with it -- especially thanks to the C6 bus, meaning I don't even drive to campus and just catch a bus at the Mill.
