We have until October 10 to take advantage of 4 FREE score reports. CBoard says that we can send GRADED scores to 4 different schools, using score choice if necessary.

I took the SAT I on Oct 1, and am expecting my best score ever. I really want this score sent to colleges. However, its score will only be released Oct 20, 10 days after the "FREE score report" deadline. After the deadline, each score report sent to a school is $10.50.

Would that mean I'd have to spend $10.50 for each of the 4 schools I'm applying to Early Action to include my October result?

Right. You have until Oct. 10th to utilize your 4 free score reports to schools. However, they will only be sent until the scores are released (Oct. 20th).

If you decide to use your free score reports, you risk the chance of sending a potentially bad score because you don’t know what you got yet. After this Oct. 10th deadline, it will cost the 10 bucks for each score report.

You can use the free score reports now and they will be sent out with your entire testing history (including Oct 1) on Oct 20. If you have any doubts about your testing on Oct 1, then maybe you could use the 4 right now for safeties/matches, and then you would still have the score choice option after Oct 20 if necessary.

I’m also confused about this. If I take advantage of this free sending, I can send it to 4 different schools for free right? And the sending only has to do with the Oct. 1 test date? I did take the Oct. 1 test, but I was just making sure it only has to do with that test. Also, if a college application is due on Nov. 1, but they don’t require SAT/ACT scores to be sent until Dec. (deadline), should I still send in my first SAT/ACT score to them with my application prior to Nov. 1. Is it best to have a score there even though I plan to take the test again in Nov. and hopefully be able to send that score to them before Dec. If that made any sense… lol.

If you use your free sendings online, there is an option for which you can choose which test scores you want to send.
Also, it depends on your first SAT/ACT test scores. Are they good/acceptable? I would send scores as soon as possible so your application can be considered “complete.” (Even if you are going to update with new Nov. scores)

Ok guys, I just sent my scores to Princeton, TCNJ, Rutgers, and NJIT.

Agentk, if you were to send 4 score reports today, each one would have all your College Board results from every date up to and including October, which isn’t graded yet. Of course, you can atler which scores you want sent for schools allowing score choice.
