My old high school (I moved) did stupid senior pranks. In my freshman year, seniors somehow broke into the journalism office and put an article they wrote in the school newspaper. The article brutally critcized freshmen, saying how much we sucked. It even had a long list of things seniors hated about us! The next day, EVERYBODY read it and picked on freshmen. Those seniors were never caught.

When I was a sophomore, some guy just ran across the football field in the middle of the game and tackled down on the mascot. He was sent to an administrator's office. I don't know what happened to him.

My class has been planning senior pranks, but as for actually doing them - nothing as of yet.

I'm just excited that it's almost over - May 24 or something we get out and graduate June 5th? My AP Gov't test is on my birthday though (may 9th...ugh)

Is it sad I'm most excited about our prom though? It's at the city art institute, hasn't been for years, so I'm excited we got it.

I get out of school MAY 9 (nine). I graduate May 16th--just in time to fly to Los Angeles (I live in Orlando) to get to my friends' graduations!

Our class is trying to plan a "senior walk home from school day". It should be fun - trying to get 650 people to walk anything from 5 minutes to 3 or 4 hours away. I think I live about an hour and a half walk from my school... it takes about 20 minutes to drive. Some of my friends have to take transit for 2 hours to get to school, so it should be interesting for them to walk home.

As for stupid things seniors have done, last year our principal was retiring. So this guy, instead of shaking her hand as he walked across the stage at grad... he picks her up in a gigantic hug! Oh, and I heard at another school's grad a couple guys tried to moon the crowd at the ceremony. Luckily there were some cops nearby... hahaha. Sucks to be them, I guess.

Edit: Our last exam/day of school is JUNE 29! We get out really late, but we started a couple weeks into September. Our graduation is on June 3.

Hahaha, some of these senior pranks are straight up funny. Most seniors at my school in the past have just spray painted things around the walls and windows or graffitied them up. I haven't seen anything too original so far.

Oh, this thread is resurrected. I'm so touched. :D

Anyone here suffering from senioritis? How do you keep your mind off graduation or colleges? What things about high school will you miss when you go to college? Any good or hilarous high school stories?

ah, it acutally has not hit me yet that this is my last semester of high school! also, now that grades dont' really count anymore i can slack off, but i just can't let myself.. its so hard to just STOP working hard when you've been working hard almost all throuhg high school lol. I think i'll come to the realization that THIS IS IT when caps and gowns get handedout to the seniors at lunch. And we start doing "senior" things like the trips, the ditch days and graduation practice.

Seems like some people on here don't have to take finals if they're seniors, well, i DO! that sucks, so I don't get out of school until June 9th. we have graduation on the same day i think.

I'm really happy to get out of high school though. more and more i look aroud these days and the immaturity of some people sticks out sooo much! I'll be sooo happy to finally get away from all the "gangster" kids, the slutty lowerclassmen girls, the disgusting dirty bathrooms and all the pushing and shoving in our crowded hallways. I'll just be happy to get away from the whole high school "scene". I'm tired of seeing the same old faces and the same abnoxious, annoying people. Don't get me wrong, i have a lot of friends and people i WILL miss but... yeah... there are those who get on my nerves lol.

Anyway! senior year! woohoo! I don't really know if i'm gonna "party it up". its not really in my nature.. and i'll have the summer for that. I wanna make sure i maintain at least a above a 3.5 this semester... lol

sorry for the incoherent rant, spelling erros, and typos. i have to go do homework now!

I have to make it through mock exams next month and then IB exams in May in order to graduate. Technically classes end in like April and we have "study leave" meaning you can come in if you want, but you don't have to. But most of us will be studying. And then end of May is Senior Trip to Greece then we graduate. I can't wait.

It really just hit me that this is the last semester of school.

My dad comes home from Iraq some time in March!
I'm going to London for spring break with my family.
AP tests in AP Calc AB, Stats, English Lit, and both Physic C tests
18th birthday on May 7th!!!!
I should have a soccer trip to the International School of Brussels and possibly one to Lakenheath, England
DODDS soccer Europeans will be held at my school in the middle of May. Hooray for being the biggest Dodds school! Hooray for all the hot guys from the international schools [ :-X ]
HUUUUUGE Memorial weekend party
Prom is June 3rd...more parties
My grandma is flying over here from back in California for my graduation.
Graduation was supposed to be June 10th...but it got moved up to the 7th because the place we're graduating is going to be used as a visitors center for the FIFA World Cup starting the 8th of June. So yeah, last day of school is the 7th because of the World Cup haha
More parties.... ;)
After all that stuff is done, a bunch of my friends and are planning on going on our own senior trip together. Most likely to Ibiza or Greece. Maybe Mallorca. We'll see what ends up happening

I used to be ranked second in my class during my junior year, but it seems that I've been hit pretty hard by senioritis lately. I still get a lot of homework but lately, I find it hard to open my textbooks. What are you all doing about HW now that this is your last semester?

i don't really do my homework, but we are on the trimester system and it is only second tri, so i have another month before it'll really hit me that hs is almost over.

O wow I get senioritis too, I used to just jump at assignments and try to get them done as soon as I could, now I put them off, and when I end up going to type an essay (as I'm supposed to be doing right now), I get distracted from it too easily, I'm too lazy with assignments.... thanks CC for making me read these entertaining posts instead of doing my HW!!!

I can't wait to get out of here. My last day is June 2.

And seniors have to take exams...it doesn't matter what our grades were during the two quarters. :(

I'm working harder this semester..because I still have to send in my semester grades at the end of the year to a couple colleges. But senioritis is getting to me.
