Maybe your guidance counselor can fax the scores to NU - you should check.

sainclaire, did NU email you about your missing materials?

Last year NU posted ED decisions online on 12/11/07, at about 5 or 6 pm CST. The year before it was 12/12. You will get an email saying that your decision is available online. The letter follows several days later in the mail.

Yeah, they emailed me yesterday. I emailed back and called but office hours are only weekdays.

Since all materials need to be in by next fri, I guess ill send a rush report, even though I know I sent my scores already. --;

This is probably a stupid question, but will NU email you if you are not missing anything? To confirm your application is considered complete?

Oh and parents' received a financial aid letter in the mail from NU, even though I specified I didn't want to apply... Can you change your decision on financial aid post-applying/ after accepted?

I'm beginning to think so, or else why would they send me both a letter and an email?

edit: apply for financial aid

Hmm, CSS profile registration was due Nov. 1 and application is due Dec. 1.

I recieved the letter too. I think its for mostly RD applicants.

You might want to contact NU's admission office and ask.

Oh okay, I think I'll give admissions a call Monday because my dad was curious as to why they'd still be mailing aid materials

i sent my application on Oct. 30th..
good luck everyone

i was also wondering if they would contact us with a confirmation email saying that our application is complete. I got the email that said they would notify us if anything was missing, but haven't heard anything since.

(only 28 more days!!!)

Probably not because that would be a logistical nightmare. ><

I called the office sorted out the SAT scores confusion; it was the name thing. But anyhow, this makes my ED app complete complete. GL to everyone else!

My application is incomplete because I haven't had my music audition yet.

But I leave for Chicago tonight and will be auditioning tomorrow morning!!! =o

27 more days!

ep1th3t, what do you play?

anyone get confirmation from NU?

Does Northwestern University still use an admit/deny ED admission process? Meaning that no ED applicants are deferred, only admitted or denied?

From what I can tell, yes, I believe that is still how they work.

Thanks! I was hoping for an official Sam Lee response, however.

Actually, a NU admissions rep came to our school; they are trying deferring for the first time this year. Although I don't expect many of you are going to believe me, that is what she said, and she was a member on the undergraduate admissions team.

If it's true (no offense to you, I just won't believe it till I see it on the admissions website) I think I'd rather just be denied. If I had to wait because I was deferred I think I might shoot myself in the head from waiting. XD
