Hello everyone. I sent in my declaration of intent and $800 deposit on April 22, but have since received no confirmation of this. I need GWU to get back to me SOON because the housing app closes in a week or two, and with no confirmation that my deposit has been received I'm getting a bit nervous. Does anyone else have this problem? I've emailed GWU and called, but no response yet.

I know it took a long time for them to cash our check. I called and they said they deposit them in batches. It took about two weeks. My sons status was changed pretty quickly eventhough the check had not been cashed so he was able to complete the housing app.

Good luck.

I didn’t get any confirmation for a week or two officially, you can try to set up your NetID and if you can then that means they got your deposit. Or just call them!

Yeah I’m just getting a bit anxious since it’s been about 3 weeks since I sent it in…

Call them! My son was EDII and we sent in the deposit check immediately. A mistake was made where they cashed it but did not credit his account. They sent a rescission email because they thought he had not sent in the deposit. They were very courteous and apologetic about the mistake, but the key is to ensure your status is shown to have accepted admission.

If your online status has changed showing receipt, try setting up your net ID. If that doesn’t work, call or email. They can fix it fast! (tech dept)

It took 3 weeks to cash our check too.

there’s a good chance they might have lost your deposit check, I know someone who’s had it happen to them. I would definitely call admissions
