I applied to the University of Richmond late this September through Coalition under Early Action. My application seemed complete, and I was even sent a E-mail by admissions linking me to the application tracking portal. Everything seemed perfect, until about a week ago when I saw that I had been mysteriously switched to Regular Decision on the portal. Coalition still said Early Action. Has anybody else experienced this? What does this mean? I was not sent a deferral letter, so I am very confused, and frustrated that all of my friends who applied when I did are receiving their letters today. Can anybody help?
I can’t speak for Richmond, but this was how my kid found out he had been deferred at his ED school - the portal showed he was in the RD round and requested mid-year grades. He did get a deferral letter, but that was after having figured it out ftom the portal.
My best guess is that you were drferred, but if you don’t hear that officially by the final notification date, definitely reach out to them.
