I am going to apply to about 8 or 9 competitive common app schools. The counselor at my school (who is more familiar with less competitive northwest schools) says that my teachers should tweak their letter a little for each school--The bodies would be the same but the conclusions would be changed to say why I would excel at the specific school. I have not heard of teachers doing this. My teachers don't know about most the schools well enough to make any specific comments related to the attributes of individual schools anyway. Is anyone else thinking of doing this and does it really help?
