September 2010 ACT Math Discussion

It’s 100% right.

what was the answer to the question which asked to describe the movie screen graph? i think it was around #57. the answer choices were like an increase in a movie sales leads to an increase in screening

Well, to find the slope for #57, you need to know that slope = rise/run. So the y axis was movie sales and the x axis was screens showing the movie or whatever. So I think the answer you’re alluding to is correct.

1 mile west, 1 mile north was the first answr?

^What were other choices?

I remember getting (-1,1) but I think I put south in my answer!

YOU GUYS HAVE MADE ME SO HAPPY TODAY!!! =’ )

thank you, CC

oh, how much flour was needed to bake cookies? >_>

3.33333 tina :D

There was another question similar to the cookies one, I think. I think I got the right answer, because I had time to figure it out, but I forgot exactly what the question was. Do you know what I’m talking about?

lol I’m pretty sure I got the cookies question wrong… how embarrassing.

What was the answer to the question about tickets? was it:

5x + 3y = 2, 346
x + y = 574

^Yeah. I got that

i think it was the third one or fourth one.

^ No i think it was the first one

^it was the first one.

@linger

are you sure about that…
i dont think the first one had the numbers 1 and 1 now that i think about it…

it had like 3 and 4 and the second one had like .5…?

i thought only one of the choices had the numbers 1 and 1

What score would I get with 4-5 wrong?

i would think 30/31

yeah, i doubt it.

@nevergiveup

Yes I am sure, two of the answer had 1 in them (the first and the third) but the first choice had the correct directions from the school. the 2nd choice had .5’s

^you’ve got it backwards. The first choice had 2 0.5’s. The second choice had 2 1’s. The third choice had something else and the fourth something else. The 2 1’s never repeated. There was only one choice like that.

Were there 2 choices with 1? I know i put something with 1 in both directions, but for some reason I remember south instead of north.
