September 2010 ACT Math Discussion

^ Yeah, there were.

Does anyone remember that one question where it asked for something something undefined? I remember in the answer choices there were different variations of 3 and 7… does anyone know what I’m talking about?

just not being 0

updated consolidated list:
sin x
Circle
10(1.12)^t
(x+3)^2+(y-4)^2=64

46 degrees
sqrt(40)
28% of the 480pg book
Quadrant 3
55 degrees
51 blocks on Step 25
14, 26, 26

slope with movies: A
5 inches deep
2700 (best fit line on movie graph)
-3 and -4
x^2 - 11x + 110
8 times when you double the diameter
840 when you multiple the 2 even integers
3 and 1/3 cups
7 additional trucks
slope of -2/3
0 and 2 only
trapezoid area of 24
5x + 3y = 2,346 & x + y = 574

what is the 46 degrees question? and the 28% question?

and what is the question of 51 blocks?

28% was the number of pages of the 480 page book read on the last day.
on step 25, there were 51 squares in the pattern.
on the 46 degrees question, it gave u perpendicular lines which made 2 triangles. one angle that was given was 44 degrees and you had to find a different angle which was 46.

What was 270 again?

^2700 not 270. It was about the best fit line

^ Oh right, got it.

■■■■. Man. Tell me what the other one was :(

wasn’t that on step 25, 2x25+1=51?

1 north, 1 west

1 south, 1 east?

awww, man I think I put 45 degrees for that one :frowning: ^^^^^^ (lol this thread moves too fast)

yes you’re right step 25 my bad. i edited it.

What was the question for this?

can someone possibly explain the center of the circle question? why did it equal 64, if the radius was 5?

i completely forgot the movie best fit one,oh my goodness…

Yeah I think I put this. Was it like D? F***

THere goes my life. Down the drain.

^yea it was A. It wasn’t D.

parallel lines i think

^ Thanks, but does anyone remember more of the question for “14, 26, 26”?
