Wow! I am surprised with how many of you got the prideful/reliant question wrong. Looks like I will be the only one with a 36. Clearly you all missed the obvious answer choice: Concerned. The question specifically asked about the tools in context with the passage. In the passage you will see there a 3 instances where a concerned aroma is mentioned. First, when the man says that their flight will depend on weather conditions. Second, when they call 3 guys for help. And lastly, when they say they flew anyway because the winter conditions would only get worse. It is important to keep in mind that the “concerned answer choice” refers to Orville’s concern of not being able to fly do to the government inaccurate measurements.

Only thing that impedes me from a 36 now is the question about why the girl was angry to play jingle bells. I put cause she didn’t like the song but after rereading the question i think it had to have been the mother answer choice. Something like, “her mother had appeared to like the song when she really didn’t.” Because, the passage clearly highlights the forced Indian cultural aspects upon the children. Thus, she wouldn’t want her daughter to even play jingle bells.

Well, I left my answer about not liking the song. I meant after rereading the passage posted on this thread, not the actual question. Re-read it and you might see what I was insinuating.

As for the measurement one, you honestly must be ■■■■■■■■. I agree prideful is correct in the context on the sentence, however it was strictly implied about being in the context of the passage. I suggest you re-read that passage as well and hopefully you will better understand your TRAGIC mistake lol.

Well regardless, I hope for your sake you are all right. I didn’t even need to take this ACT. I’ve already committed to college. And its that school that all of you wish you could be accepted to =).

The only reason I left my “correct opinion” was so that you all would realize that you won’t get that 36. Stop b****** and calling me out, and for once accept that you might be wrong.

Take the time to reread the passage and then next time you can circle the bubble with concerned…

From the lack of a post, Im assuming you are all rereading the passage lol. Don’t worry, I can already sense your thoughts, “Dam*, that ■■■■■ was right”".

the Moushumi answer choice was definitely about her disliking “jingle bells.” the passage clearly insinuates that she prefers playing Mozart and “jingle bells” is not only a huge step down from that in terms of complexity and elegance - characteristics which Moushumi identifies with later on in her adult life - it’s also what Bengali people want from her, which makes things worse. she just wants to play what she wants to play. simple as that. also, i don’t remember it now, but the second part of the “irritated” choice didn’t make any sense to me when i read it (i recently wrote an extensive 11 page critical paper on the namesake, but hell, i guess that could have been a disadvantage as well though i doubt it)

also, does anyone remember the other choices for the “cousins” answer question. i believe i put that, but i still want to be sure/know what the other choices stated.

^why are you here? to shake our confidence?

we are not wrong. We never accepted once the statement that we are always right. But we know what is right and what is wrong because of us having taken many practice exams. (or at least everybody on here except me;i only took 2 full ones and 1 half exam lol) We have more experience than you.

So Ashllllley, you don’t want to go to Stanford?

As for airfrehener you obviously aren’t more experienced. Give me your best scores. I saw you listed elsewhere how many you had got wrong in each section and it will definitely not give you above a 34 at best.

As for practice tests, they don’t make you smarter, they just help reinforce structure.Keep in mind that you are talking to a 2360 SAT, 800 math SAT2, 800ChemSAT2, and 790.

Ashllllley, as for why I am on this thread, it is because who wouldn’t want a perfect 36, it is an accomplishment to remember… Thought this time I could perfect the standardized test. If you guys are right, honestly I am happy for you. I am just trying to get you all to realize that concerned seemed to be quite clearly the winner.

^^^^^ I think that was a different question, because I remember putting down the author not writing in her twenties as one of my answers. I think the aunt and the novels one was in a different question.

Ashlllley, seriously take a deep breath. Just cause you got one reading question wrong doesn’t mean you can’t get into UCLA or CAL. They are good alternatives, and maybe if you weren’t so “CONCERNED” about my username, you would take the time to re-read the passage.

Babe, I’m going to Stanford as well. I was born and raised in California it’s been my dream and I’m already enrolled. Does thy give me a reason to brag? Absolutely not? Am I better than anyone else? Absolutely not. I’m human and am damn proud of it. I am smart and I am humble. Suck it

So you took the ACT and are currently enrolled at Stanford? Stanford’s restrictive early action deadline has not yet passed… I have committed through swimming which accepts candidates through an earlier process. I took the ACT only because my parents had already paid the fee.

I was not trying to brag, I was simply trying to support my claims by qualification. You all think I’m a ■■■■■■ jock when in reality I am the only one, besides goldenrule who takes the time to re-evaluate answers thoroughly and accurately.

However, if you do get in to Stanford I would love to discuss this test more in depth. By then, it will probably just be an inside joke.

All I am demanding is more respect from you all. I know you are all are positive reliant/prideful are right but the passage indicates otherwise.
