You can now register for the september ACT. Anyone plan on taking it? Taking it for the first or second/third,etc time? How much do you want to raise your scores

depends on what i get on my June test (hoping for a 30). If I don’t get in the 30s I will be taking in September.

I probably will. I got a 33 my first time and if I don’t get at least a 34 on the June one I’ll retake. Hoping for at least a 35 by the end :)

I’m taking it. Never taken it before I’m pretty pumped. Aiming for a 34+ hopefully

I’m waiting for my june scores. If I don’t get at least a 28 I’ll prob retake it. Yeah, that might seem low for some of you nerds,but I’m not planning to go Ivy league.

^lol I like this post.

^Haha me too.

I’m still waiting for my June results, too. If I don’t get a 34+, I’ll probably retake.

@677sam and CantConcentrate

Was this your first time taking the ACT?

Less than 6 days until we get our results, by the way.

@nina1228

Yeah, it is. I took the SAT in March, but that wasn’t the greatest thing ever haha.

taking it for a second time. got a 29 in February. really, really hoping for a 30 or 31 this time around.

I’m basically in the same exact position as Glthegamemaster. I got a 33 in April, and am hoping for 34+ from June. If not, I’ll unfortunately have to retake. Agh more standardized tests…

@nina1228 or anybody really: do scores actually come out in 6 days? I thought it takes longer.

@ivybound1

Yes, they do online. But, some people’s scores take longer to be released. I have no idea why.

Thanks @CantConcentrate
Mine will most likely take longer because I was a standby tester, plus I thought they just automatically billed you somehow and didn’t go on the website to pay, so my scores are probably going to be even later since I just paid like ten minutes ago.

I plan on taking it. I want to go from a 26 to 30. I went from 23 to 26 within a month so hopefully with the summer I can bring it up to a 30. :)

@nina1228 yeah it was the first time. how did you guess hahaha

@677sam

I just had a feeling. :)

@ classy19 How did you raise your score? I took it in June and have a feeling i scored lower than a 25 My goal is more around a 30 or 31.

I just realised that 2011-2012 ACT fees are higher than the previous year’s.

The Writing test costs $1.50 more and the additional fee for internationals is $1.00 more than previously.

Am I correct?

Oh jeez, i just realized that too. When registration for the test opened on june 18 the test plus writing fee was still 48 but now they changed it. Plus writing costs 1.50 more, no writing costs 1.00 more, standby 1.00 more, test date change and everything else is 1.00 more also.

I’m retaking it…
