Hey there!

I'm going to be a junior this September. Because I do not have much of an affinity for the ACT (I'm a sloth when it comes to reading), I decided to "test the water" for the ACT early in the year, before I start to really focus on preparing for the SAT in case I pull some amazing performance out of nowhere. Anyway, I'm afraid that this might be much too early, that I might gain something in the year that I will not have had yet by September. Is this fear founded? Should I go ahead with the test anyway? (It will be on the first weekend after school begins).

On a side note (as I'd hate to clutter the forum with threads) pertaining to "non score choice" schools and the ACT:

If I take the ACT but am not satisfied with my score compared to that of my SAT, can I not submit the ACT at all? Am I obligated to submit it if I take it at all, or am I only obligated to send all ACT scores if I choose to submit the ACT at all?

Thanks!
