I've heard a lot of rumors about different ACT test dates having slightly unequal difficulties, with the September ACT being the easiest...especially in reading and science. Is there any truth to this? Feel free to include personal experiences regarding such rumors.

God I hope so.

There are varying levels of difficulty, but that is not dependent on the month the test is proctored. A harsh curve will accompany a simple test, while a lenient curve will accompany a difficult test. Take the test when you are ready, not based on anecdotes.

Taking the test again in September. Hoping to get a 27-29.

lulz they change the difficulty of the test depending on the month?

Why would September be the easiest?

They don’t. This is just a false assumption many make based on what previous test takers (a year ago) have said about their own personal experiences with the test. Study hard and you’ll do fine; don’t worry about what others say.
