These are the best slow songs by Drake, if you want to check them out also. They don’t get much airplay because they’re no carshakers but they are really good.

Lady Gaga >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Drake

They aren’t even in the same universe.

Odd that Lady Gaga and Drake are even being compared.

I love both of them but that’s like comparing cheesecake to hamburgers, it doesn’t make sense.

Lol, I just used the both of them because theReach said that Drake will blow up like Gaga has done recently. I was just being sarcastic ;)

I don’t hate it because it’s mainstream. I listen to Tool, Muse, Coheed and Cambria, SOAD and many other fairly mainstream bands. But note, they’re progressive rock. I bet you don’t even know what that term means. Most mainstream lacks any credible creativity, but thank god for the prog genre. It has became fairly hidden in the last 10 years (it died back in the 70s), but i’ve overcome the ignorance of society and now happily listen to technical metal\prog death\prog rock. I listen to music I find, not music that finds me: That’s living life to the fullest.

I had to post because I sincerely feel very sorry for people who continue to listen the garbage that plague’s the media. This from a person who used to listen to that crap. My life actually means something now… So yeah. :)

i’ve never even heard of this Drake

Drake is bad.

What if I like a song that the media also likes. Does this make me a bad person? I guess my life is a failure.

^No, but you have to judge why the music is mainstream. If it has credible value, then it’s fine. If it doesn’t, your life is meaningless.

/thread

u guyz shuld listen to the Cool Kids. The cool kids>new boyz

Eh, I’m not one of those people that hate mainstream stuff just because it’s mainstream. I don’t understand that type of mentality. People who like underground stuff just because it’s underground confuses me too.

I listen to mainstream music but I won’t shy away from underground artists if I ever hear one of their songs.

I should correct myself: The only reason why Laday Gaga’s popular is because of her catchy songs. The lyrical content is laughable (probably because she writes all her songs) but I still like her and her music. Drake is okay. I only like ‘Best I Ever Had’ but his rapping seems weak to me. I liked him better on Degrassi.

Cool Kids are beyond dope. You can’t compare them to some jerkers. They make good shi.t, blast 88’ and break your speakers :)

whoaa wait a minute that song “best i ever had” was jimmy from degrassi? no efffing wayy!

Yep, Drake is Jimmy from Degrassi. I used to watch the show religiously with my sister, now I grew out of it.

w t h. isnt his name like aubrey graham? wow this information has made my day. ive heard that song a couple of times, never knew it was him. but then again i barely listen to the radio. jake epstein (craig manning) should come out with some songs for the radio too, his songs he sings on degrassi are so addicting.

btw, i used to watch it religiously too. but i kinda stopped. im pretty psyched about the movie coming out this week though.

drake is his stage name

haha we was a pretty one dimensional character. i think they tried to make him more interesting by having him get shot, didn’t really work. anyone know if he’s still doing the show?

He said in an interview that he and a lot of other long-time cast members came on set one day and their names weren’t on their dressing room doors and they saw these new people practicing. He said there was no warning beforehand, that they were just let go. You can search it on Google, that’s where I found it.

His character was pretty static. So weird since he’s been on Degrassi: The Next Generaction since the beginning and the only dynamic thing to ever involve him was him getting shot. After that, he returned to being ‘boring Jimmy who plays basketball but is now in a wheelchair.’

I think Drake is his middle name along with his stage name. His full stage name is Drizzy Drake. Why? I have no idea. LOL

Probably because if you’re with Young Money, your stage name has to include some name that pays homage to Weezy or something lol. When I found out that Drake was on that TV show (never watched, but have heard of it), I loled big time. He acts so hood, but is a major poser. Next T.I. or Fresh Prince? I don’t think so ;)

i dont even know who young money is. lol.

but happycow i can see how the original cast would think that. ive seen a few recent episodes and its basically all new characters. thats part of the reason i dont keep up with it. well except for peter, he can stay there forever!

oh wow … FAIL

well i listen to old-ish music anyway. old school tbs, SoCo, glassjaw and stuff. i dont really have these “top songs” on my ipod but i listen to them on the radio when im in the car sometimes, theyre alright, pretty catchy.
