My son is undecided on his major and was accepted to Seton Hall and Rutgers among others. Big school vs small school. He is on the shy side and likes that he will probably get more attention and the professors more accessible at Seton Hall. He received a considerable amount of scholarship money but Seton Hall is still a lot of money. However, in his research he found that Rutgers has more opportunities as far as majors and also clubs and activities. He is concerned with the size and feels that he will get lost amongst the 30,000+ students. Any advice on these two schools is appreciated.
For an undecided, I would say Seton Hall. I think Rutgers is super easy to get lost, especially if you’re shy and not a type-A who will reach out often to profs. Rutgers is also all online this semester; not sure about Seton Hall.
NJWrestlingmom, thank you for your response. Seton Hall will be Hybrid/Hyflex in the Fall. My son was told that Seton Hall is worth the money if you are majoring in Nursing, Diplomacy, Business School and any of the science majors.
