do you think it would be bad if i put in anotehr essay for the additional infomation slot?

when is the deadline for SAT sending for yale?

is sending one piece of artwork that i see as good going to hurt me?

when is the deadline for SAT sending for yale?

is sending one piece of artwork that i see as good going to hurt me?

I'm not sure if Yale is as picky with sending extra stuff as other schools are... I think you're going to have to decide on that one yourself or see what others say. I don't know because I didn't send anything extra.

The SAT deadline should be in the viewbook. It might have been December, since the original deadline was the 31st...

the thing is the deadline on collegeboard is feb 1st. but they accept jan 22 scores? wtf?

First of all, stop posting the same thing all over...its driving people insane. Second of all, I have showed you over and over again that sending one piece of artwork WILL hurt. I have even directed you to Yale's website...I'm sorry if I sound harsh but I cannot stand repeating myself over and over again...

collegeboard lied. the RD deadline is def. the 4th of Jan.

they eat your money and now they lie! tsk tsk :)

Collegeboard did not lie, yale and harvard both accept sat's from january (this is stated directly on the colleges wesbites)

sending supplementary materials doesn't hurt if it greatly contributes to your application. for example, i sent in a cd with recordings i made of my singing because i study opera very seriously and wanted the admissions committee (and the opera department at the yale school of music) to consider my talent on different dimension than just by paper.

however, if you are sending in the essay just for the hell of it, then no. do not send it. a fluffed file is just a hindrance, essentially, because then you stuff too many words and not enough substance in the adcoms' face. and that, my friend, is a big turnoff.

i think this is circumstantial. what kind of essay were you planning on sending? and explanation of sorts?

Yale does take the January scores, however, the application is due on January 4th. Send in the scores you have, and update them later.

"the thing is the deadline on collegeboard is feb 1st"

I thought he meant that the application was due the 1st of Feb... silly me
