So, I'm interested in doing the SFAI summer program, but I have yet to find any real info on this program on this site. has anyone done it? Is it worthwhile? Other info about it?

lovely school, wanted to go myself, beat myself up a little for not saving enough money so I could have been able to send my kid, especially after I saw bookstores and museums in the city.
When I was there last summer, kids are painting in the room with the view of the bay. I had to ask the tour guide they are really just HS kids because not only they looked super mature but works are good technically and everyone seem to know what they are doing.
That might be a downfall if your style or aim is different.
I don’t know about this summer but used to require portfolio and interview (by phone if you are far away) relatively cheap because room and board are separate.
Nice cafe on the top of the roof with breathtaking view. Some downtown motel is now assigned as permanent summer residence, the tour guide said.
Are you considering as college choice as well?
There’d be scholarship if you did precollege, couple thousands dollars I think, about a drop in the bucket.
It is fine school to go if you can afford. It bothered me a bit because all other tour families looked so much loaded and all kids were like supermodels immaculately dressed, don’t see that kind here in the East much.
