SFSU vs. Cal Poly Pomona (Apparel Merch major)

Hi there-

Recently got accepted to SFSU and CPP. My major at both campuses is Apparel Merchandising. I can’t decide which to attend and thought you guys could help me out. Listed below are my pro’s and con’s of both schools.

SFSU
Pros:
-city life (i love big cities)
-an hour from home(convenient)
-can concentrate in design
-campus size
Cons:
-heard its harder to get required classes/graduate in four years
-impacted major

CPP
Pros:
-successful alumni
-SoCal experience (im from NorCal)
-more impressive on resume
Cons:
-no city life/40 mins away from anywhere cool
-hotter weather (im a jeans+jacket+boots type of gal)

Anyone help and give me your opinion on these two schools or even on the major if you are studying it or know someone who is!

sfsu seems like a better option for your major, honestly.

Disclaimer: I know nothing about the quality of SFSU’s program. However, I work in the industry and SF will definitely give you more internships possibilities (Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Levi’s etc - all in SF).
