Halloween is around (yes we're all probably a bit old...), but I've been reading scary stories recently and enjoying them very much.

some scary pictures here.

A young girl is left home alone with only her dog to protect her. When night approaches, she locks all the doors and tries to lock all the windows but one won't close.

She decides to leave it unlocked and goes to bed. Her dog takes its customary place under her bed.

In the deep of night she awakens to a dripping sound coming from the bathroom. The girl is too scared to go check so she reaches her hand under the bed. She feels a reassuring lick from her dog and falls back to sleep. She reawakens to the dripping sound, reaches her hand down to the dog where she feels the reassuring lick and falls back to sleep. Once more she awakens to the dripping sound. She reaches her hand down and feels the lick of her dog.

Now curious about the dripping sound, she gets up and slowly walks towards the bathroom, the dripping sound getting louder as she approaches. She reaches the bathroom and turns on the light. She is greeted by a horrific sight; hanging from the shower nozzle is her dog with its throat slit open and its blood dripping into the bathtub.

Something on the bathroom mirror catches her eye she turns around. Written on the bathroom mirror in her dog's blood are the words "HUMANS CAN LICK TOO".

A few years ago, a mother and father decided they needed a break, so they wanted to head out for a night on the town. They called their most trusted babysitter. When the babysitter arrived, the two children were already fast asleep in bed. So the babysitter just got to sit around and make sure everything was okay with the children. Later that night, the babysitter got bored and went to watch TV, but she couldn’t watch it downstairs because they did not have cable downstairs (the parents didn’t want children watching too much garbage). So, she called them and asked them if she could watch cable in the parent’s room. Of course, the parents said it was ok, but the babysitter had one final request… she asked if she could cover up the angel statue outside the bedroom window with a blanket or cloth, at the very least close the blinds, because it made her nervous. The phone line was silent for a moment, and the father who was talking to the babysitter at the time said, “Take the children and get out of the house… we will call the police. We do not have an angel statue.”

The police found all three of the house occupants dead within three minutes of the call. No angel statue was ever found.

In France, a young ambient musician by the name of Charles undertook an interesting new project. He was going to record the sound of himself sleeping, and release it under the name “La Nuit” (The Night). Charles lived alone in a rural area, which would remove things like car alarms, traffic, and such from being recorded. He planned his project for many months, acquiring the sensitive equipment to capture all outside noises as well as his own during sleep.
Finally, on the 27th of September, he decided to execute his plan. He set up all his equipment, and fell at sleep at midnight.
The next day Charles reviewed the recording. For the first hour, the recording played his own tossings and turnings as well as some distant dog barks and a few car alarms (So much for his plan to distance himself from cars). These continued throughout the 2nd hour as well, until Charles heard something that horrified him.
For at exactly 3 hours and 24 minutes in, the recording played the sound of his bedroom door opening.

I can’t think of any stories, but can you imagine if all of our lives were a dream? (I’m religious so I don’t believe this, but it’s an interesting thought.) I suppose that could be considered frightening. Sorry for the lack of attribution haha

Also, you don’t think high schoolers go trick or treating? Pshh, I am going this year and I’m a junior lol. O well, I look young I guess. The employee at the grocery store talked to me like I was five and then was shocked when I told him I was 16 haha

^im scared to read this story lol…then ill be creepred out
only read the first two lines and im done! lol

^Lol, I didn’t even read it, I get too freaked out haha

there ones aren’t as scary:

The Dancer

A man moved into a new apartment, one that was in a crummy part of town. He eventually got fed up so much that he planned to move out until he looked out the window and saw the most beautiful shadow swaying back and forth in the apartment across from his. He fell in love with the women and watched her every night, just dancing away. Eventually, he just had to have her and went to her apartment. The door was open and as he stepped in, he was horrified. A rotten corpse hung from the ceiling as the fan pushed it.

The Truck Drivin’ Maniac

One day a girl was driving home from school when she received an unusual text from her friend. A bald man in a big truck had been following her since she left her school. Thinking it was a joke, she turned into an empty street; only for the truck driver to follow her and turn on his lights. She kept repeating the turns, hoping to escape, only for him to keep flashing his lights everytime. She drove as fast as she could home and upon reaching it, called 911 about a truck-driver who has been following her. Right after calling them, a knock on the door and a “This is the police, we have apprehended the man, it is safe” came out. She couldn’t believe how fast they got there and figured it was the man. She looked out the window to see the police were truly there, but they were arresting the wrong man! She ran out the door to see the truck driver just talking to the police when she yelled “No, you have the wrong man!”. The policeman came over and said, “Miss, we have just taken statements and confessions from everyone, believe me, you are no longer in danger”.

Confused, the truck driver walked over to her and said, “Sorry to scare you like that, but that man they just arrested was in the backseat of your car with an axe, hiding and waiting to kill you at the turns. Luckily, I saw him in there and was able to follow you and flash my lights every time he attempted it.”

Pictures on the Wall

A hunter had lost track of the time and where he was, and needed a place to sleep in the woods. Luckily, he had seen a empty cabin earlier and figured no one would mind if he stayed there for the night. There was a bed and as soon as he was about to fall asleep, he saw the most eerie portraits on the wall. The figures were deformed, and some were covered in blood. One even held an axe with a head in his hand. “I simply must observe this art tommorow morning”, he said as he fell asleep. The next day when he woke up, he was startled to see that they were not portraits on the walls. They were windows.

Hmm…now I suppose the question is, are these true?

One day a kid drowned in a swimming pool and was never found again.

20 years later some people moved in. The zombie boy came back to life and killed everyone.

Lol, after watching The Ring, for about a week and a half I’d be wary about TVs. Once, when I was watching a show, it went all black/white/fuzzy and made a loud noise, and I freaked out and ran from the room.

Sometimes, when I’m washing my face or brushing my teeth at a sink, I’m afraid to look up into the mirror cause there might be a horror figure behind me.

After watching Freddy v. Jason as a kid, I was afraid of falling asleep.

Taking showers around midnight still freaks me out.

I watched Jennifer’s Body, and laughed throughout the entire drive home.

Is the Ring really freaky? I’m supposed to watch that with my volunteer group haha.

Well, idk now since I watched it in middle school, so perhaps it felt a lot freakier than it really was.

There will be times when you are unpleasantly surprised though lol. So get ready.

It’s a right of passage though. A classic horror movie everyone should watch. Check out the wiki page lol. I’m sure some of the freakiness will show through.

EDIT: Watch the Japanese version for extra fun. Ringu, I think.

Great…lol, being outside in the dark at a park full of strangers at some dead woman’s house watching the Ring lol. I’m supposed to watch the participants but I’ll be the one screaming haha

Here’s another Japanese horror movie that will really shake you up - it’s called Ju-On: The Grudge. I watched the trailer in my History of Japan class sophomore year (we were required to take a year of Asian studies credit at my previous school) and it scared me silly.

^O, I heard that one was scary too:/

I watched the jap. version of the Ring in elementary school b/c my sisters were in high school then. If i had watched it now, I don’t think i’d be very scared. but b/c I watched it when i was in like 5th grade, I was traumatized and i still have this really bad memory…

Yeah, it really is. And I just made the mistake of watching the trailer AGAIN when it’s approaching midnight here in Michigan. The Japanese version of Ju-On is a LOT scarier than the American version, so if you’re up for a real scare watch the Japanese version with English subtitles.

oh yeah, the jap version of Ring scarred me for life. I think that might have been my very first scary movie, lol.

I also thought the Grudge was freaky too.

God damn those stories are scary D: D: D: D: D:

^^^O ok, thanks for the suggestion. I’ll try to watch them lol

Here’s something scary:

I NEED TO APPLY TO COLLEGE THIS YEAR

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!
OH GOD- HORROR HORROR!!!

MAKE IT STOP MAKE IT STOP

Horror movies to watch:

Ringu. As stated before, good stuff.

Ju On: One of the scariest movies ever…lots of sudden things.

Tale of Two Sisters: I’d say this is the scariest, not because of the sudden stuff but because it affects you so much psychologically…almost traumatic!

Quarantine: This one you should watch for the sheer intensity of it, particularly at the end. I wasn’t even screaming the last 30 minutes or so; it was just so crazy and after the end, the room just stayed silent for a few minutes because of our shock.
