Surprised not to see the University of Michigan on here! That was my dream school back in my day. (mainly because I’m afraid to go OOS, though) ;)

Ooh, Halogen! I’m adding Deep Springs to the top of my list. The look on those cowfratboys when the first female first-years walk on to campus this fall will be absolutely priceless.

They’ll be in an interesting position, if you know what I mean.

Wow, it’s so interesting to see everyone’s varied responses depending on which region of the United States they live in!

Surprisingly, I’ve noticed so many Stanfords on everyone’s list! I’ve never really understood the appeal of Stanford, and part of that reason is because I live literally right next to Stanford and I visit Stanford SO MANY times throughout the year!

By the way, I’m currently a sophomore in high school. I intend to double major in economics and international relations/global affairs in college.

Well, here is the funny thing. This past week actually I created a list of the colleges I will apply to that took into account location, desirable majors, cost, and my own unexplainable appeal. Here is the result.

Harvard

Yale

Stanford

MIT

Columbia

UChicago

I’m a sophomore in the Texas Panhandle.

Southeast Junior

DUKE (x1000)
2.William and Mary
Princeton
Georgetown
GWU
John Hopkins
GMU

Thanks everyone!

Apparently there are enough Dukes to go around.

Canada~ Still a freshman…(2 MORE MONTHS!)

MIT

MIT

MIT

MIT

yes its still MIT

Caltech

Stanford

University of Toronto

Princeton

University of Waterloo

New Jersey Sophomore

Barnard (perfectionnnnn)

Wellesley

Smith

Brandeis

Harvey Mudd

Colorado College

Bryn Mawr

Case Western

Lehigh

Tulane

UPitt (only because they have an amazing neuro program)

Intended major: Neuroscience (premed track) → bio if no neuroscience available

Well, there is one flaw…no daily-dose of flirtation.

Assuming financial aid is a non-issue:

Harvard

MIT

Stanford

Yale

Dartmouth

Brown

Caltech

JHU

Princeton

Actually no. These schools are probably quite biased since I’ve mainly been looking into ones with full-aid for internationals + a couple others.

And I’m from Canada.

Junior, southeast

UNC (2 hours from home, instate tuition, great campus)

Columbia

Harvard

Stanford

UVA

Davidson

Freshman, southeast

Clemson

…that’s it. I’m not supposed to care about colleges at this stage. :D

Alaska sophomore

U. of Pennsylvania

Brown

Northwestern

WUSTL

Tulane

U. of Toronto

U. of Michigan

U. of Minnesota

Arizona State

U. of Alaska-Anchorage

Yep. If you can’t tell yet, I like the Northeast and Midwest a lot. It probably has something to do with being born and raised in the Great White North while still wanting something resembling normal weather. Tulane and ASU don’t fit within that mold, but oh well. I still like them.
