She failed me. Should I fight it?

On monday, after I took my math final(which I failed), I discussed what my final grade for the semester would be with my teacher. She told me that I had a slim chance of getting a C, but I'll most likely end up with a D. When she told me this, all of my work for the class was in front of her, and she knew my final exam grade, which tells me she wasn't just predicting what I would get, or bulls*iting me. She also told me that she would email me my grade personally before she posted it on our college account. She never did that.
Tonight I went to check my grades, and here, she failed me! I'm confused because I don't think I deserve this. Out of 4 tests, 2 were Cs, one was a D, and I failed one. There were also a few quizzes that I got A's and B's on. And my homework grade was a C. I think it would be a different story(that made more sense) if I failed all of my tests and didn't do my homework. But I'm concerned because I don't think I deserve this, and when I spoke to her, she did not seemed concerned or tell me that I was in danger or could potentially fail. I emailed her, but I'm scared she won't email me back(because she never emailed me when she said she would). Should I fight it? Or just take the grade?

Are you in high school or college?

I’m in college. But I’m a high school student. I’m finishing high school early.

Well if your in college and it is a high school class then I wouldn’t unless you don’t like the teacher and think it would fun to argue and yell at her.

I think he/she means she is a HS student doing concurrent college classes.

You can ask her why you failed. Doubt you can fight the grade if that is the grade you earned. Do you know how the grades are weighted? Could be that the final is heavily weighted. College grading is not the same as HS.

From reading your other posts it sounds like you should focus on HS level classes instead of trying to finish HS early. The college grades you get now will stay with you through your college career. It does not sound like you are ready for them. Our local HS does not let students enroll in concurrent college classes unless they have a pretty good HS record.

no offense, but this is in the wrong board…
