How does this work in terms of addresses? Amazon won't take the "roomnumber dorm" line of the address!

I ended up putting xxx Dorm, University of Texas, xxx street address, Austin TX zip. A question will come up asking if you are sure this is the address (something like that) and I clickec yes. My son did get the package, so it did work.

So you put “xxx Dorm, University of Texas” on the first address line, then “xxx Street Address” on the second address line?

Yes. I did abbreviate University of Texas to Univ. of Texas, so it would go on one line. If the dorm name is long, you might have to put UT, instead.

Uh you do not have to put UT on there. It’s just extra, and isn’t needed. So if that is causing the problem just drop it.

Do this if it’s not working. It works just fine:

Sally Bob
1234 whitis avenue whatever
123 Kinsolving (room and dorm)
Austin, TX 78705

The following link gives the Hall mailing addresses. Hope this helps.

[Division of Housing and Food Service - Mailing Addresses](<a href=“UHD Homepage | University Housing and Dining”>UHD Homepage | University Housing and Dining)

If the on line form you are filling out only has three lines for the address, you can use:
Sally Bob
1234 whitis avenue, #K123
Austin, TX 78705

or fit in as many letters of the dorm name as you can until you run out of characters
Sally Bob
1234 whitis avenue, #Kinso123
Austin, TX 78705

rather than using
Sally Bob
1234 whitis avenue whatever
123 Kinsolving (room and dorm)
Austin, TX 78705

Both artsy and midwest’s mom’s version works on amazon.

Still can’t get anything to work on some other sites. Say’s it is not recognized.

I got the same (or similar) message from Barnes and Noble. However, when I added Univ. of Texas, it allowed the order to go through and my son got the package.
