Short Answer Length Question

Hello, I just wrote my answer to the question, "College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA): What led you to choose the area(s) of academic interest that you have listed in your application to the University of Michigan? If you are undecided, what areas are you most interested in, and why?" My response is 310 words long, and it says on the application to make it approximately 250 words. I am not exactly sure what I should cut out. Is 310 ok? or should I cut some stuff out? Also if someone is interested in reading my response I would be really appreciative if they could give me some feedback on its quality...

no i would shorten it up because many admins frown upon essays that are longer than they should be because other kids cut out a lot of their essay just to meet the requirements so its not fair that someone else gets to write 50 more words

Try to cut it down to about 275 if possible. Be concise.
