Should I apply as a freshman or transfer?

Hello! I am currently a junior in high school and I plan on getting an associate degree in mathematics before I graduate.
When I apply to colleges (mainly UCs) should I apply as a freshman or transfer or does it really matter?

I should mention that I am obtaining this associate degree through a dual enrollment program at my local cc

You apply as a Freshman with college credit.
