Should I apply as a US or UK citizen?

Hello,

My parents are from India, but I was born in the United States. We left the US shortly after and I have spent my entire childhood in England. I hold both UK (by naturalisation) and US (by birth) passports.

So in which category do I fall? Does the admissions committee consider me an international applicant of Indian ethnicity or an American citizen living overseas of Indian origin?

Would it be advantageous for me not to disclose one of my citizenships ie should I apply as just a British citizen or as an American?

Is any one else in my situation? Any advice greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, most schools will be easiest to get into as a US citizen.

So you have dual citizenship, and will count as a US citizen. It is more advantageous to apply as a US citizen.

You are a US citizen living in England for purpose of applying. Those who apply as US citizens can qualify for need based financial aid for US colleges, those who apply as internationals do not at most colleges.
