Should I apply EA or Regular?

So, I just registered on College Confidential and I've been reading everyone's "Chance Me" posts... and I've come to terms with the fact that Stanford may be much more of a reach than I thought. It's a bit depressing, and I was going to apply EA but now I'm thinking otherwise. Nevertheless, I'd like to hear any comments or opinions that anyone has.

Here's my stats:

Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I suggest you talk to your high school guidance counselor and find out what s/he thinks your chances are. Since your school is in California, surely you can find out how your chances for your school.

I did, however, since my school does not send very many students to top schools each year, my counselors don't seem to have a great grasp of the competitive standards that Stanford sets. In short, they think I have a great chance. After reading everyone's posts, however, I think not so much. Any other opinions?

I think regular. Your SAT scores need alot of improvement for Stanford.

Your SAT scores are out of whack with your academic record. If I were you, I would apply to the nation's top colleges that are SAT Optional, colleges like Wake Forest, Holy Cross, and Bowdoin.

Yeah... Darn... btw, I just got my new scores in. 700 CR, 700 W, 660 M. I know that isn't a big difference, but it might help. SAT definitely isn't my thing, I suppose. I'm still going to apply to Stanford, but thanks for the advice. I'll check those schools out.

If you are an under represented minority, you have a great chance at Stanford.

Everyone seems to have ignored the OPs ACT score, which is really good (33).....

Nope, I don't have the slightest bit of minority in me. Blonde, caucasian, etc... Kind of a bummer. Does Stanford look at either your ACT or SAT?

Either works...but obviously if you're taking subject tests then they'll see your SATI scores too.

ACT score is pretty good. Just hope to score well on SAT Subject SAT II's.

I would just drop the SATs and only send in the ACT as it is decent.
