I don’t know, if my financial situation will take me out of the running for questbridge. I live with my single mom who makes $53,000 and my grandfather. My mom doesn’t recieve any child support and my grandfather is not an official member of our household. However, we are experiencing financial hardship because my grandfather is divorcing my grandmother, and it has cost my grandfather around $40,000 in legal fees. Therefore, we pay for his living expenses and, recently, had to move into a more expensive, bigger apartment to accomadate all of us. My family and I would really benefit from questbridge, however, I am afraid that my mother makes too much for me to qualify because my EFC is 4k.
The reason that you may not financially qualify for Qeustbridge will have nothing to do with your EFC. Queasy considers the income/assets of both parents. You will have to submit the income and assets from your non-custodial parent (your father).
My dad gave up his parental rights, so do I still have to list him? Because, i don’t even know where he is and I haven’t seen him since I was 3
Do you have the court papers that attest to this?
yes, do I have to send it to questbridge?
Yes, you will send this documentation as part of your request for a non-custodial waiver.
