Should I apply to Stern as a transfer student? Chances?

I am currently in my 2nd year at a small private university and am looking to transfer next fall. I would consider Stern my "reach" and I am looking for opinions as to whether I should apply or not. I would probably commute if accepted. I scored a 31 on the ACT in high school. I have a 3.96 GPA at my current university and am part of their honors program. I only have part time work experience, although I am looking for an internship.

I know a lot more goes into the app process but I basically want to know how hard it is to get accepted into Stern as a transfer. Also, do they offer financial aid/scholarships to transfers?

Any advice, opinions etc. greatly appreciated...

As far as I know, Stern transfers are extremely hard to do even for students within NYU. However, thats not impossible. Your gpa is right on target and now it just depends on the courses you took in that college and your essays. Then, stuff like interships and work experience come in. BUt i would focus on the essays right now
