Should I attend an Art school or university? For Interior Design? High school senior

I notice that so many Art schools have bad graduation rates, almost all, maybe even Pratt's institute. Like you can't compare Art schools to good universities with 80-90% graduation rates over six years.
There are some universities for Interior Design that have good graduation rates (ex: Syracuse University, University of Florida).
I have decided which schools do I want to attend, which includes both art school or just university. So would you say that you recommend that a university is the best option for Interior Design? Or would an Art school prepare you since it's all about art?

I personally would recommend a university. My D’s friend went to art school and left after two years. What had been a joyful art experience became drudgery in having to make product for school. A college or U will have other subjects for you to learn to alleviate the pressure on making art.

My friend is actually going to Syracuse for interior design, and I think she came to that conclusion based on what you mentioned. It’s good to be in an actual university so that there are other options for you and you aren’t just stuck in the design world. Also, if you change your mind about design, you will have a lot more options on what to fall back on at a university.

@Ranza123‌ Exactly, too much art can get very overwhelming. Syracuse is a good school (if I get in) and I will meet people whom are in other study fields.

Just be aware that Syracuse was just named the nation’s #1 party school! If you really aren’t into that, it may affect your decision.
