Should I be getting confirmation?

I applied interim to Rice in November, but haven't received any notification that they've received my Part II of my app. (I did receive confirmation via email for Part I).
Should I be concerned? Maybe they didn't receive the materials by the deadline and have rejected my app?

It's fine to call them.

It's likely that they are still in the process of compiling application folders, but, as Jmmom says, there's nothing wrong with a quick call just to confirm that they have everything so you can relax. Good luck!

btw, strapple - LY, for some reason, a few of us noticed that phone contact with Rice's Admissions Office left us with the opposite of "warm and fuzzy" feelings. It was surprising to me (I expected outsize Texan and warm Southern hospitality), but several folks on the other end of the phone were just cold and unhelpful. So, if you find that, don't take it personally or worry. And I hope they've corrected that little glitch, because it certainly doesn't fit with the feeling one gets at Rice while there - as an applicant and, from everyone I know and hear from, as a student.

Thanks so much for all the help, I'm going to call them tomorrow to confirm.

Jmmom: thanks for the warning, I'll keep that in mind when I call
