I know how you feel. I was rejected to Wharton ED, waitlisted to WashU, rejected from Virginia and Northwestern. Brown is my favorite but it just feels like it isn’t going to happen and I’m going to end up somewhere that I really don’t want to be.

“I know it feels like a horrible wait right now, but worrying won’t change the outcome. They made all the decisions weeks ago”

That is not true. Top schools tend to leave SOME of their “hmm… this student could be a good addition to our campus” applicants to the end. I’ve heard of people being interviewed by Harvard (Brown’s peer) 2-5 days before decisions.

@kackac- I feel the same way. I wish I EDed to Brown, but I wasn’t sure back then where I wanted to go, and now my heart is set on Brown. If I don’t get into Brown, I’ll probably end up at BU(,due to scholarships)…but I really don’t want to live in Boston ( I know too many people who live there, 2 of which are my best friends, so I doubt I’ll truly ever make new friends because I won’t have much motivation to leave my comfort circle).

evilsquirrel: I’m on the same boat as you. Rejected by Yale SCEA, MIT, Stanford, and Uchicago. I’m crossing my fingers for Brown as one of my close firends already got in ED. In the meantime, try Hulu to pass the time. It works wonders…

I was rejected from Stanford and Northwestern but accepted at Carnegie Mellon and many state schools. The wait for Brown, Princeton, Harvard, and Yale are killing me. KILLING ME.

Best of luck to everyone. Hang in there, guys. 3 days.

i’ve officially gotten into all 3 of my safeties (UCLA, Binghamton, Uwashington) and 3 out of 4 of my targets (Carnegie Mellon, Umichigan, UC Berkeley). Meanwhile, I’ve also been rejected/waitlisted from 2 of 4 of my reaches (Uchicago and Northwestern). I really wanna go to Brown though!

yeah, waiting really is horrible, especially when there’s only a couple days left. i’d LOVE to get into brown but my chances don’t seem too good. got waitlisted to uchicago and washu like some other ppl. for me, my gpa’s the problem.

Haha my life is the definition of crapshoot.

Accepted to UChicago and UCLA, but spring admit to UC Berkeley. And then rejected from Stanford, MIT, and Duke.

I have truly no idea where I stand.
