I applied EA to Baylor and I still have yet to hear a decision. I’m supposed to hear a decision BY January 15, however I know a good amount of people who already got in and it’s making me all the more nervous and eager. I did apply on the day of the deadline, so I’m thinking maybe because I applied later than most other kids, I will be one of the last to find out. I consider Baylor to be my safety, as I have an SAT superscore of a 1440 and a 4.479 weighted GPA. Any input you have would be greatly appreciated!!
Our daughter also submitted on time for EA and hasn’t heard back.
We live in the Northeast (US, not TX!).
I live in the Northeast as well!! I’m from Connecticut. I keep checking my email and GoBaylor everyday, still no luck… my guidance counselor thinks they might have just gotten an overwhelming amount of EA applications this year… Wishing your daughter the best of luck!! Hopefully we hear back within the next week or so!!
If you filled out all of the optional items you will be fine. The only time I have seen high achieving individuals not get in is if they passed on the optional items and thus Baylor correctly assumes they aren’t your first choice. You should still be waitlisted in that case though.
Oh yeah I answered Baylor’s supplement, I just didn’t attach a work resume, but I assume that’s the lesser important of the two. So hopefully it’s just a matter of time before I find out.
I’m not trying to instill doubt but I also applied to Baylor EA last year(2017) in the last hour before the deadline and received my email of acceptance about a month later (in December). I’m from Texas. I’m not sure if location plays a factor. It might I don’t know. Your stats are pretty good and you applied EA so I personally believe you qualify.
I actually just found out today that I was admitted so I’m super happy! I emailed my admissions counselor a couple of days ago and she said that decisions are sent out in batches randomly, so a late decision does not necessarily indicate that a person would be rejected at all.
