I am currently a Junior in High School. My GPA is fairly good, but this year, I wanted to maximize my AP Classes. I am taking APUSH, AP Lang, AP Psych, AP Chem, Pre-Calc Honors, Advanced Orchestra, and Track. I dropped Spanish because there was no way it could fit into my schedule and because I had a horrible teacher that graded insanely hard. Honestly, if I was in that class, the best grade I could have gotten was a B. So was it a good idea dropping that class? I dropped it to take AP Lang. I'm just worried because most UC schools recommend 3 years, and I only took 2 years.

i think you should find a way to at least take three years of a foreign language

I think it was a good idea to drop the class this year, but you should definitely take it as a senior. As you yourself mentioned, most colleges would want three years.

No, take it now so you don’t forget. Why do you need Psych? Some even self-study it - otherwise next year will be a fine time.

As a couple of people above said you should take Spanish now so you won’t forget.
