I need help with my schedule for next year

So I'm a junior at a small high school and there aren't many challenging courses.
I'm planning to take AP Lang., APUSH, AP Bio, Physics, Photography (for visual performing art requirement), and Trigonometry. I'm done with my 2 years of Spanish and I also speak fluently, write, and understand Vietnamese deeply . Should I take another year of Spanish? I don't want to take Spanish anymore. I want to take other classes such as Psychology, Physio, etc. in my senior year instead. Does it hurt my application for college for taking only 2 years of Spanish? Does college look at this issue negatively and weigh foreign language heavily?

It will, unfortunately, affect you negatively if you only take 2 years of a foreign language

Does your school offer AP Spanish? If so, take that. You could of course take the AP exam without the class though.

My school does offer AP Spanish but I’m not a Spanish speaker so I will not take that class, my concern is about Spanish 3. If I want to take Spanish 3, then I have to remove Psychology from my schedule.

Many colleges and universities require (or reccomend) three or more years of a single foreign language. If the schools you are planning to apply to have this requirement then yes, you should take either Spanish 3 or AP Spanish. In general Psych isn’t considered a much more “prestigious” class than Spanish so you won’t be hurt in terms of course rigor -though I personally was all too happy to when I was able to drop Spanish in Junior year.

Were you ever involved in ESL classes? Or can you take Spanish through a virtual high school recognized by your state?

@MYOS1634‌ How are ESL classes related to this topic? Admittedly, I have been in ESL classes in my freshman year and I got in English Honor in my sophomore year and AP next year

Because ESL recognizes that English is a second language for you and can “count” as foreign language to a certain extent.
