sorry about the cliche question, but I dont want to waste 100$+ for nothing!
I'm REALLY interested, and my essays will show that. As far as SAT and acdemics goes....

SAT: 690 CR, 700 W, 720 M
SATII: (M1: 720) M2: 750, physics 700
GPA (grades): intl school, 17 out of 20 average (17+ being OUTSTANDING, 15+=A)
rank: top 10% academically
ESSAYS: really good!
recs: really good
hooks?: URM (latino), dual citizenship (Peru+US), german school in Lima, lack of "opportunitites?"

so.. anyone can give me their opinion?? honestly is greatly appreciated!
thanks in advance

I don't want to be that kid, but your SAT scores are a little low. Do you do any extracurricular activities? You'd need to have some STRONG ones to get in.

Oops. I forgot that.
ECs: Physics Extracurricular... re/creation of machines, experimental methods (im looking forward to physics as a major), creative writing EC (destined for competitions), rowing training (daily, competitions too, + captain and team guide), art ECs (e.g. painting drawing), and a solid interest for gastronomy, etc
Summer Activities: mechatronics course, drama club (leadership position), etc

Ps: I know my SATs are low. thats why Im asking! :)

Given all of that, you seem like you have a fair enough shot. I might be going out on a limb, but it looks like your extracurriculars are lacking a little bit of focus? Call me crazy.

haha yeah.. I know that, but I can take advantage of this with the "well rounded person" mantra ;)
thanks for your honesty ...I think Im going to give it a shot! :)

Give it a try! If there is anything to show from all these early threads it's that SAT scores aren't everything. If you have good essays, good recs, and good extracurriculars, everything seems to be a lottery after that. Good Luck!

Your chance of admission is 0% if you don't apply. I'd say you have a shot, especially with the URM hook and the cool background in another country, etc. You're academically qualified, so go for it. Show lots of passion.

why only one? why not all of them (it's better to spend $200 for all 3 app fees and get a definite decision from all three versus only paying $65-75 for one and not knowing what the other two would have said)

Its a German school in Lima, the Alexander von Humboldt School.
I have already applied to 5 other clleges, thats why my father only wants to spend on one more application fee!
maybe for christmas--- lol
