Should I bother reviewing practices tests from Other Prep Books?

Last month or so, before I knew better, I went to an SAT camp and did four practice tests from 4 different prep books. I don't know which books they are from, but none of them were from the Blue Book. They are probably from Barron's or Kaplan or PR etc.

The tests were very different from one another. Some of them had super hard math questions while others had really easy math. Should I still go over the answers to those practice tests I took? Would that be a waste of time? Or should I just get started with other stuff already like reading through review guides and do the Blue Book's practice tests?

You would do much better to review properties of mathematics, read literature, and write, all out of the context of the SAT. If you have strong faculties independent of the test, then the test is not an issue.

The College Board really is not trying to trick you, just be academically strong.

It’s best to use the tests from the College Board. Sometimes the other books make some questions more difficult to ‘prepare’ you. There are some extra practice tests you can find for free online too.

@energia that’s the opposite of what I’ve heard. There are kids who were learning Calc were constantly doing poorly on SAT Math. I believe the part about additional reading and writing being important but the majority here on CC think thinks that being familiar with the test is way more helpful. What are your thoughts on that?
